Fat Tribe Friday – Get Ready

I think it was Grand Funk Railroad that said “Get Ready cuz here I come. Are you ready for some bike fun? I still think that fat-bikes have the best fun per-mile rate in the entire bike world and today we’re spreading the fat-bike-fun like guava jelly on hot toast! Let’s get right into that jet-fresh flow.

I don’t usually get too excited about Kickstarter projects, but these new MTB Sneakers grabbed my eye. With 5.10 under the flag of Addidas, there’s a rather large hole in the MTB sneaker market. Ride Concepts came into the shoe market with perfect timing to step in for 5.10 but I’m not 100% stoked about their line of ride shoes. This potentially new brand is called Anamoly and is the brainchild of Chris Armstrong, Founder of ANAMOLY. You can see more styles and even pre-order a pair at their Kickstarter site –https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/anamoly/the-mountain-bike-shoe-redefined

Mountain Bike Across Bears Ears National Monument

“This roughly 80-mile mountain biking tour covers a broad expanse of red rock, juniper forests and high plateau, while exposing riders to early human and Native American historical artifacts,” said Escape Adventures Director, Jared Fisher.

Escape Adventures is taking reservations for a 5-day mountain biking tour across the 1.3-million-acre Bears Ears National Monument. The trip starts at Edge of the Cedars Museum in Blanding, Utah, a 19th century Mormon settlement, and climbs high into the Abajo Mountains. Highlights include an array of archaeological sites and ruins, The Notch, Duck Lake, Sego Flat, Reef of Rocks, Maverick Point Overlook, Skull and Crossbones, The Causeway, and Jackson Ridge. Wildlife is abundant, and views atop the Abajo Mountains extend for 75-miles in all directions. For more info, visit https://escapeadventures.com/tour/bears-ears-mountain-bike-tour/. Share Your Bike Fun Photo

Have you taken a lovely photograph of your bicycle in the Sun/Moon/Gnome-Light? Are you fond of stickers and have a mailbox? Then we might be persuaded to send you some sweet stickers. All that you have to do is send us a high-resolution photo to gomez@fat-bike.com along with your mailing address and we’ll chuck some stickers in an envelope and slap a stamp on there for good measure. The site has fewer and fewer product-driven posts and more and more people-driven posts. This is our way of reaching out into the fat-bike community and providing a canvas to paint beautiful portraits about the world of bike-fun.
