Wallpaper Wednesday – Ash/Valentines’ Day?

This week’s Wallpaper Wednesday comes to us from Jim Fisher all the way from the Canadian Rockies. Here’s what he shared about the shot.

Here is a picture I snapped at the Summit of Prairie Mountain, 2205 m or 7234 feet. This was an 800m or 2624 foot ascent up a popular hiking trail in the Eastern side of the Canadian Rockies and a steep, fun, flowy, and slightly frighteningly icy alpine descent down the backside of the mountain. The summit has full panoramic views of the City of Calgary Alberta and out to the mountains of Banff National Park. Great day in the mountains!

Riding my Trek Farley 9.6 with Manitou Mastodon and taking the photo with my pocket tripod and my cell phone. Apologies for the quality!
