Origin8 Devist8er really do feel that much heavier that the others having ridden them now for a few days. I didn’t think I would notice so much but I do. They are still very nice.

tread is lead, as in the metal. Lose rotating mass with alloy nipples, thin tubes and a 1/2 drill bit. Or ride a road bike.

Kevlar bead vs Wire Bead on the Surlys???

  7. Sven Haamer February 6, 2012 at 8:31 pm #

Haven’t seen Kevlar beaded Surly tires in the wild yet. Don’t expect much in the way of weight savings though. As soon as they are available we’ll update the list.

We have had pairs of the folding bead ones in the shop. Weights were basically the same or at least in the realm given the typical variances.

I weighed my on one floaters and they weighed 1395 and 1425. I got these floaters in Dec 2013. I wonder if the newer batches are lighter as I have others in mtbr confirm similar weights as I have.

I also have oem 120 tpi Nate and they weighed 1400. They were from a 2014 mukluk 2.

  24. joe January 1, 2015 at 6:21 am #

    Hi.

Can the width of all tires please be included? The dillinger comes in two sizes. others don’t have width. Maybe divide into 3.5 – 4 inch and 4-5 inch so it makes less frustrating reading?
    Cheers guys

    Colored Floaters were around 1750g.
Thickish sidewalls, should be killer tubeless.
Bling comes with a 1/2 lb. cool penality I guess.

  27. Jeremy Wyatt March 1, 2015 at 2:33 am #

My 4″ big daddys are 1580, running with 29er tubes no hassles. Wonder if going tubeless will save me much weight?
