2022 Sea Otter Classic Bike Expo (Part 1)

The 2022 Life Time Sea Otter Classic presented by Continental was last week. Racers, fans, and our favorite brands gathered at the Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey California! I walked the aisles of the expo to bring you the latest and greatest products coming to the US market from all of the best companies. It was great to see the bike industry all together again out at Sea Otter!

POC showed these cold weather overalls that they call the Consort MTB Dungarees. They look perfect for slurmy collar-season romps through the woods. Check it out at = CONSORT MTB DUNGAREE

Reserve Wheels introduced their Fillmore Valves at Sea Otter. Reserve has rewritten the future of tubeless valves with the introduction of the all-new Fillmore valve, a completely new take on tubeless valve designs. The patented Fillmore valve represents a leap forward in technology, with a high-flow design that eases tubeless setup and eliminates the traditional, delicate, clog-inciting valve core of traditional presta valves. Check out your next set of tubeless vavles at – FILLMORE VALVES

Pakmule Cargo Carriers remind me of racks I saw on Outer Banks Fishing Rigs in North Cackilackey. Packmule makes their cargo racks in Texas. They produce a series of lightweight aluminum Cargo Trays with all sorts of mounting options, including bike transport. More info at PAKMULE

SDG Components is a brand that is on the rise. Love these SDG Comp Pedals and we’ve been testing one of their Tellus Droppers this winter. SDG makes components that WORK!

Look for a field test on the SDG Tellus Dropper coming soon. For more information about SDG visit – https://sdgcomponents.com/

I’ll be giving the new Why Cycles Big Iron a closer look this spring along with a short list of Titanium fat bikes that are available. Why updated their fat bike with a new dropout and some tweaks to keep things fresh. This is Dirty’s V1 Big Iron. I got to take it out for a ride at the show. #lucky

Why also had their Ti Dirt Jumper in the booth. For more information visit – https://www.whycycles.com/

Outbound Lighting is somewhat of a newcomer to the bike light trade but they’ve been making big waves since they hit the market. The people at Outbound are engineering professionals who come from the automotive lighting and LED industry. They bring a serious engineering approach to bike lighting.

Schwinn Sting Ray

Old Man Mountain Racks has a new smaller platform rack called the Elkhorn. The Elkhorn mounts to just about any fork. Learn more about the new rack at – https://oldmanmountain.com/product/elkhorn-bike-rack/

Our friends at OTSO announced the new colorways for their Wahela C adventure bike at Sea Otter. Between Otso and Wolftooth Components there’s almost too many things to photograph. I was surprised that they didn’t have Corey Stelljes’ Birkie Championship Voytek in the booth but they did have this captivating beauty below.

Check out more info about Otso at – https://otsocycles.com/

Check out this slick Ti hardtail from Turner Cycles! The Nitrous, a fun, capable, cross country hardtail that stretches the definition of ‘XC’ with geometry that is longer lower and slacker, ( shorter and steeper in all the right places too!). A hardtail frame that offers comfort over long rides that more rigid materials can never hope to offer. #want

the MT500 and Humvee Shoes

Endura brings their philosophy and disruptive innovation to the shoe market with some really swank zapatos in both platform and clipless options.

I have a feeling that these are going to be hot sellers, so get them while you can. For more information about the new Endura MTB Shoes visit – https://us.endurasport.com/footwear/cycling-shoes.list

Well that’s, Part 1 of my report from the 2022 Life Time Sea Otter Classic presented by Continental. Tune in tomorrow for Part 2. #morecoolbikeshit
