On Saturday 11/9/13 we biked 25 miles in from Cooper Landing trailhead over Resurrection Pass in Alaska to the East Creek cabin. The trail was the best any of us had ever seen, dry and frozen.

Sunday morning we awoke to snow, which on the trip back over the pass to the truck became increasingly deep. At this point near the top of Resurrection Pass Chuck broke away from the trail to see if it was any more ridable by the lake. It was, but later he had a heck of a bushwhack to get back on the trail. It took 8.5 hours to cover 25 miles on the way out, the last 7 miles in the dark. Good times.

  1. Awesome photo, I’ll be out there next weekend!

That ride time doesn’t sound so bad, it took us 16 hours to get from Swan lake to East creek last year. There was no trail at all.
