Turnagain Components was created by the founders of Borealis Fat Bikes. Recently they announced a new aluminum pinned fat bike rim they’re calling the FR80.
The Turnagain FR80 is an 80mm wide extruded aluminum fat bike rim. They are single-walled rims designed to work with all common fat-bike tire widths with a standard tubed setup. The Turnagain rims come in 3 different anodized color options with laser etched logos and are drilled out to reduce weight. Turnagain is also offering rim strips for their new hoops.
The Turnagain rims feature 64 eyeleted spoke holes. They’re compatible with both offset frame designs and standard symmetrical frames. Each rim has a claimed manufacturer’s weight of 890 grams and the MSRP is $140.

Now THAT’S a rim, baby. Aluminum, anodized, pre-drilled, AND eyeleted? Shut up and take my money!
Not enough holes, and the ones that are there aren’t big enough.
Gomez, you should have mentioned that the rim appears to have been made with no effort to make it tubeless compatible.
Read the fourth sentence.
I would venture to guess that those are tubeless capable. Some thin foam strips, Gorilla Tape, Hand Pump and Sealant and voila! Tubeless Baby!!!!
Did this to a set of Large Marge’s with wire bead 27 tpi Nate and Larry’s and have had absolutely no issues all winter and I don’t think I have added air to them since probably November and still good to go!
Nice looking Rims!
