Those mad-cap rebelz up at Surly have been busy making more cool stuff for us to play with and bolt onto the old sled this winter! The 8-pack and (triple-wide) 24-Pack racks are an answer to your Tio Gomez’s front rack dreams! I’ve literally been trolling pro bike jocks for a front rack that leverages the cargo braze ons that festoon many fat-bike forks (including Otis’s) and today – my dream became reality!
The 8 & 24 Pack Racks are made from CroMoly Steel and come with Stainless Steel Hardware. Surly’s, Dave Gray, rode them on the ICT, Moonlander (centered Fork) and doesn’t see an issue with the Wednesday since the bosses are the same as the Pug centered fork. The new racks are compatible with Surly’s symmetrical fork. (These have not been ride tested with Surly offset forkage). The rack is designed to attach to the mid-fork brase-on and fork crown eyelets that most Surly forks use. The 8-Pack weighs 640 grams and the 24-Pack is 860 grams. MSRP = $110/$150
