Heaven help us, March tries to turn us all into roadies until the frost comes out of the ground and the trails start to drain after being frozen for the last few months. Every once in a great while the March thaw is swift and allows for a rare St. Fatties Day singletrack ride. Most years we’re a month out from riding in the dirt on St. Pat’s. I try to be gentle on the trails and use common sense. There’s always plenty of pavement and gravel when the trails are too wet. This March has really been mild. Here’s to a great Spring riding season – Huzzah!
