Dave Caravias contacted us about his guided fat-bike adventures in South Africa. Our area is extremely special with accessible dunes and fantastic runs down from the mountain to the beach that’s only a 2 minute drive from our guesthouse. I didn’t intend on setting up tours but I needed an excuse to ride my bike as much as possible and could not have all of this to myself. I just have to show off what an amazing place we have here in De Kelders, Gansbaai!!! For people that love fat biking this is a MUST to come and try. We’re located in a town called Gansbaai in South Africa (The other side of the bay from Hermanus) which is approximately 140km up the coast from Cape Town (1 ½ hour drive from Airport). Gansbaai is the Capital of the Great White Sharks in the world and our location is also the best place in the world for Land Based Whale watching! Now, thanks to fat-bikes, we can offer rides on the stunning Sand Dunes above De Kelders and along the 20km stretch of beach from De Kelders to Hermanus. The top of the Dunes are only a 4-5 minute drive from our Guesthouse (www.theroundhouse.co.za). We are right on top of a whole lot of fun!
