In the tradition of the bike festival formerly know as Gnomefest comes the Levis Mound Fat-Tire Festival set for September 10th thru the 12th at the fabled Levis Trow Mountain Bike Trails! This is an event for all of the folks out there that love mountain biking that maybe don’t get their kicks from racing. Mountain bike festivals harken back to the early days of mountain biking in Colorado and Northern California…add in a dash of Burning Man on Bikes and that’s what’ll go down the weekend after Labor Day. Instead of a race, we’re going to have bike games and rides with one simple focus – FUN!
Schedule of Events
Friday
4:00-6:30 PM Registration – Packet P/U at Levis Chalet Porch (outdoors) –
9:00 PM or so – Night Ride (gnome hunting) !!! – A Mellow Ride with Refreshments (you’ll probably want lights)
Saturday
8:30-9:30 Registration Packet P/U at the Chalet (outdoors)
10:00 AM – Girls Social Gathering and Ride Detail
11 AM till 5 PM – JP’s Poker Ride with Costumes (turn-in cards between 5-6)
DERBY
4-5 PM – Tap the Keg –
In the evening – Costume Poker Awards
Drunk O’Clock – Figure 8 Dwarfcycle Death Races
Sunday
Ten AM – The Great Gnome Hunting Photo Tour Group Ride – A tour of all of the overlooks and maybe the arch, etc. Everyone should bring a camera! Tag your photos with #lmftf and post them to Instagram!
