Silver Lake County Park is near my old stomping grounds down in Willinois. I remember riding deer paths through an old abandoned campground back in the day and now Silver Lake has a sweet groomed singletrack system. This is one of those races that does a pretty good imitation of a party!
This Saturday Team Captains will line up on sleds and jet down to their bikes at the bottom of a big hill. The Sled hill is nice and wide but it has a few large trees with padding tied to the trunks just to keep things interesting. There’ll be a great party going on at the hilltop pavilion with warm fires and great food. It’s the slipn’ride brothers and sisters #fatbikefun
