One of my oldest riding amigos, that I’ve known, all the way back to the 1980’s, sent in this flashback to Gnomefest 9 at Nine Mile County Forest, near Wausau, Wisconsin. Andy gives credit to Marty as the photographer and the rider is his own bad self…..Andy Oleson; aka – Angry Andy. He’s riding his Salsa Ti Mukluk. The photo is from 2012. Since then the trails at Nine Mile have evolved, quite a bit, but this particular rock garden is still part of the trail system, which is now, better than ever! We talk a lot about gnomefest. It’s sort of a family reunion for bicycle gypsies from around the upper mid-section of gnomlandia. There’s a huge pile of photos that can show you what all the hooplah is about, better than any explanation that I’ve ever been able to scribble out on the interwebz.
